Today I felt led to share an encounter I had with Jesus back in 2014.

While I was worshiping the Lord in my bedroom, I Ascended into the realm of the spirit and experienced the most powerful reality of Jesus to date.

I went into what many call, an open vision. It was as real as the natural realm. I was in a dark room and suddenly, Jesus slowly walked past me and all I could see was the right side of his profile, as He continued to walk past me, the overwhelming sense of His love poured into my heart from His heart. There are no words to described this love, other than the love and heart ache you would feel if your child was about to be taken from you to experience great suffering or death. This overwhelming sense of a mother’s love for her hurting child gripped me.

I wept uncontrollably as He continued to walk past me, pouring out His perfect love into my broken heart. He then fell on his knees, and I saw huge open wounds in His back from the many lashes He had taken in place of me. Suddenly, I heard an audible voice whisper in my right ear, “LOOK CLOSER!” My eyes went into tunnel vision like that of a camera lense, zooming in on the open wounds on Jesus’ back. I saw what was written in Capital letters in each open gash on his back, the words were KAYLIE. It was my name written inside of His wounds.

Suddenly, I came back into my body weeping and undone by this encounter. Forever changed from a moment with Him, the lover of my life. Before I could forget, I quickly wrote down what I experienced with Jesus that day and searched the internet and the bible to study what is written about our names in His wounds. As I had never heard or read anything like it before. And surprisingly I found so much! The truth hit me that the God of the universe encountered me personally and spoke deep truths to my heart.

“In fact, it was our diseases he bore, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God. But he was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises* we are healed. We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet ADONAI laid on him the guilt of all of us.” Yesha ‘yahu (Isaiah)‬ ‭53:4-6‬ ‭CJB‬‬

Our names were written on His wounds. His suffering was so real and so personal. Each of us can say, “He died for me as if I were the only one He needed to die for” my name was written on His heart before my name was written over His wounds. Everything He suffered that day was for me. And it was for you. From eternity past, the Father and the Son saw my lostness, my cry for a Savior. He was the only One who could address my need and save me, but He had to become one of us in order to do it. This great plan of redemption involved physical as well as spiritual writing. The holy message of God, the divine Bible, was written to allow us to understand and believe God’s love and His plan for us.

John said, Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name (John 20:30, 31).

He said long ago, “I will put My laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (Hebrews 8:10b; see Jeremiah 31:33). As we rise up to the highest level, we see that God’s whole plan revolved around my name—and your name—being written over the wounds that Jesus suffered as He died for us.

This is one of the greatest of all truths:
OUR NAMES ARE WRITTEN OVER HIS WOUNDS!
