The Lord spoke to me a few months back to home school our children. And I can honestly say, the fear of not being enough struck me! I said, “But God, didn’t you tell me to put my children into a christian school last year?! He then said to me, “Yes, But now i’m asking you to shift gears into a completely new direction.”

After saying yes to the invitation to home school our children, I can say today we are all enjoying it so much. The Lord leads me daily to use new ideas and concepts to home school where they can learn maths, english, history, geography and science not only sitting at a desk, but also out doors and through different fun activities. I also love that I can customise their learning according to their strengths, passions, and learning abilities. I get to enjoy them, be with them, and comfort them when they find things challenging.

THE ERA OF REST AND FOCUSING ON THE FAMILY

We are entering the era of FAMILY like never before, and yes this might look different for many. I encourage you to ask the Lord what does it look like for you and your home to enter into the era of REST, and FAMILY. It might look very different to what you expected, you might feel you are not capable, or you may have others telling you to do it their way. But let me say this! If God is prompting you to shift things within your home, your family or your work, just DO IT! Because His grace and peace will accompany you according to that which He has called you for. He will provide all the things you need AS YOU STEP OUT IN FAITH. You will reap so much fruit from your small acts of obedience (even if you feel you are not good enough) because you chose to say YES to God, and no the opinions, and ideals of this world.

Ask Him, and He will answer you!

WHAT GOD ASKED YOU TO DO LAST YEAR, MIGHT BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THIS YEAR. IT MAY EVEN SEEM CONTRADICTORY. ASK HIM AGAIN, “WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO DIFFERENTLY NOW? WHAT MUST I LET GO OF, OR CHANGE SO I CAN TAKE ON THE NEW THING YOUR INVITING ME TO DO”

For the Lord is saying, “I AM INVITING MANY TO SHIFT GEARS, AND MOVE IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DIRECTION.”

“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
